Just plan to buy a kitchen for early spring, or late autumn, when the IKEA Kitchen Event takes place.
This year, the event lasts 5 weeks and started on March 4th. Under the terms of the promotion, customers are eligible to save up to 20% on buying kitchen related products.
This is the most effective way to save money if you do not buy a used kitchen on a garage sale. Sometimes this is also an option.
3. Installation
You can install the entire kitchen yourself, using the instructions on the Internet and the IKEA guides. If you have experience in furniture installation and have all the necessary tools, then you can save up to 30% of the total Kitchen cost, but not a time.
If you do not have experience or necessary tools, we cannot recommend you to try to save on installation. Since due to lack of experience, the installation itself may be delayed or turn out to be done incorrectly, which may affect both the reliability and product warranty. On top of that, it is quite often that the cost of reducing wrongly installed kitchen can be more than the original installation from scratch.
